This is so sad. The challenges of hijab fitness. I'm so glad there is a focus on such a tremendously important world issue.

These types of stories are ample proof that despite the best efforts of Bin Laden, Khomieni or any other crackpot with a beard and turbin of JUST WHY ISLAM WILL NEVER RULE ANYTHING.
It lives, it breathes, it flourishes IN THE PAST. It is unable to reconcile modern life, society, culture and technology with what is at heart a desert goat-herding nomad minset without twisting itself into logical and theological knots over 'problems' like this one.
They may outbreed us westerners, but they will never outlast us. They will be unable to maintain the technologically-advanced world that we will leave behind. It will rust, it will decay, and the Islamic world will eventually either starve to death, or kill itself with sectarian violence ignited because someone dared to ask whether it was really necessary to wear a Hijab while "Sweatin' to the Oldies".

You really want to know? It can be scary inside my head!
The Koran is silent on the subject of exercising while wearing three layers of burlap. The simple answer (don't wear the hijab while Jazzercizing) is simply not available. It would mean granting a freedom or privlege to a woman. This is a major no-no according to the lunatic misogynist who wrote the instruction manual.
The culture is dying. It's unable to reconcile it's dogma with the modern world, being mentally anchored to the 7th century even as the rest of the world passes it by.
Here's your proof: It begins with young men believing it's a religious calling to blow themselves up. It continues when abused women begin to escape and marry outside the culture (I personally now Western men who have married Arab/Turkish wives in recent years).
What's left simply simply inbreeds further (the practics of cousin marriage), creating the next generation of people stupid enough to live in a fly-infested desert.
No culture can survive if it's unable to adapt to changing circumstances, and it's DNA is being diffused and destroyed by high-explosives,marriage outside the culture, and generations of inbreeding. What is left will only become progressively less able to adapt and survive, and ever-more reliant on the words of a dead lunatic.
The seemingly simple-to-answer question (which apparently is not simple when viewed through the lens of religious orthodoxy) of 'should I wear a down coat while I Jazzercise' is a sign of the stupidity that will eventually consume them all.
