Egypt
So, Egypt is burning.
I say it looks good on them.
I'm not particularly concerned or even interested.
It's not like Egypt is going to turn into a democracy or anything remotely close to a democracy. This turmoil is going to lead to a Muslim brotherhood state. Yes-you read that right, another radical Islamic state in the Middle East, right beside Israel and with lots of oil revenue at its disposal.
The Muslim Brotherhood does not seem to me as much of an existential threat to Israel as Iran (with nukes). They are not the same brand of Shiia-12th Imam crazy as Eichmedinejad.
I think they will quite enjoy being Islamic fat cat royalty, just like the many princes of the Kingdom of Saud.
They will fund terrorist operations and radical mosques everywhere, and then they will start to eat their own people alive-such as dictators and radical terrorist thugs are wont to do.
Have you noticed any women on the streets? Fat chance. This is another symbol of what is in store for the people of Egypt.
Sorry to say that I'm thinking the same thing about Tunisia.
I don't particularly care about them either.
I'm also pretty sick of mealy mouthed supposedly "conservative" people waxing on about how it's not like Islam cannot be compatible with democracy ('look at Turkey'). Sorry-Turkey is not a democracy. Or they site good old "moderate" Malaysia as an example. Give me a break. Some of the wackiest Islamic fatwas of the past decade have come out of Malaysia. And Turkey is turning into an Islamic dump that will soon rival Pakistan.
These mealy-mouthed "conservative" remind me of the idiot faux socialists who still claim that communism and socialism are wonderful systems "in theory", but 'they just don't work in practice'.
If it doesn't work in practice, as all scientists know-you have to go back to the theory-which is faulty.
It is the same thing with Islam in democracy. In theory-in some far off utopia, there will be an Islamic democracy, in some Neverland where unicorns fart natural gas and you always get free stuff forever or something like that.
I have seen absolutely no evidence to suggest that Islam is compatible with democracy. In fact, there is more evidence to indicate that being a believing Muslim creates direct conflict with democratic Western living. In those cases, the devout unabashedly side with Sharia.
What are we to make of that?
Could it not be that there is a reason why we have yet to see an Islamic democracy is as simple as the fact that there cannot be such a thing?
It is not that some people living in Sharia countries do not want freedom-many might, but allegiance to Sharia is not compatible with allegiance to the democratic rule of law. Look at the UK.
Many immigrants from Muslim countries want Western conveniences and toys but still to be governed by Sharia. We have better stuff and a better life, but the reality of Muslim demographics could really change our way of living.
Look at France. How long do you think it will be until the French Muslims demand Sharia enclaves (official, not the unofficial ones they already have). How long do you think it will take before they just vote in enough people to enact that legislative change by themselves? It would not be the first time in recent history that democratic institutions were used to usher in totalitarianism. It is happening before our eyes.
I'm much more sympathetic to Iran, where I think that democracy is a real possibility. The Shiia crazies are not the majority of the people and the thugs are ever more nervous about going down. The young people are gutsy, still taking risks every day.
Unfortunately, the Iranians have no Reagan in the US right now. They have a Carter II (or worse).
Us haters will still continue to sound the alarm bells.
We who object to the voluntary Islamification of the world are vilified and ostracized, but I plan to continue to take my lumps and call it as I see it.

So, you all know how Mark Steyn was named World's Greatest Hater of Muslims Ever in the Entire History of the Universe and stuff.
This was mostly because he had the nerve-as some dirty, uppity dhimmis do, of talking about the dangers of Muslim demographics and the Western world.
Imagine that!
Well, it's very interesting nowadays.
After being villified for writing things like (gasp!) facts about the declining birth rate in the Western world, the lack of replacement rate childbirth in our countries, suddenly, mainstream media publications and lefty huggy feely 'think tanks' and such are coming to Steynian conclusions.
After being dragged through the Human Rights Kangaroo Courts, and having his livelihood threatened by "human rights" mandarins and the Earnest Joke Evaluation Committee, the mainstream media is getting its Steyn on.
This means only one of two things.
Either Steyn and other "haters" are-how shall I put this..."right", or the world is coming to an end.
Actually, it could very well be both.
Here's the very, very Steyny stuff.
And remember, this is Pew information, being reported in the Globe & Mail (the "New York Times wannabe here in Canada").

The time really has come to have a frank discussion about who we let into this country and whether or not we are prepared to say that we do not wish to be demographically overwhelmed by immigrants from countries with sharia-based laws, where women are treated worse than animals and where gays are slaughtered just for being gay.
The people who come from these countries are not democratically minded. They are tribal. They hate Jews and all other infidels. They celebrate our deaths and think we are filthy infidels.
We have to say-sorry, we do not want any more people from places where fathers and brothers and mothers collaborate to murder female relatives who have "shamed" the family, necessitating the barbarians to purify the family honour through blood sacrifice of their children.

Democracy Doesn't Need America?
This is a very interesting piece.
Of course America has always been the beacon of freedom. Unfortunately, the Obama administration is a blip in the democratic journey. A disgusting episode of socialist turbulence in the relatively short, but glorious history of democracies.
So that's why this piece is even more engaging.
Were it only that the Arab/Muslim world could gravitate toward democracy and more importantly-throw off their shackles of radical Islamic brainwashing.

Forbidden Love: Taboos and Fear Among Muslim Girls
This is a topic that has some meat on its bones.
It's a real shame that there are not more courageous "feminists" out there, interested in the plight of Muslim women in Western countries-trying to make a new, liberated and secular life while facing the wrath of their families.
It's good to see a mainstream publication taking on this subject.
But, Eurabia is doomed anyway.
These stories will be forced onto the North American media in the next few years as well. They are reluctant to cover them, but will have no choice because given the number of immigrants that we get from anti-democratic, sharia-based countries, they will continue to bring quaint customs like "honour" murders to our shores.

Holocaust Hegemony And Its Moral Pitfalls

Another article which I had thought of first.
Well, I kind of have written about these topics before, but this article just crossed my path over the weekend and I just had to share it with you all.
Of course the brilliant logic of this article will be lost on North American Jewry's bloated, liberal bureaucracy of total nobodys who appoint each other, toast each other and congratulate each other for being so much like one another.
My friend Kathy Shaidle has brilliantly pointed out that Jews probably should spend a little bit more time and money on Holocaust prevention instead of Holocaust "education".
This article makes the case better than anthing else.
Holocaust "education" has, in itself become a charicature of itself-the main exception being first person testimonials from survivors which I believe are one of the most important educational and human exercises on the planet.
The writer of this article has rightly brooched a touchy subject-the competition for the Holocaust to be the number one paradigm of suffering and evil.
"Education" has backfired.
He urges us Jews (and of course our non-Jewish supporters and friends) to be smarter than our enemies on the left and within the jihadist fronts and not fall into their traps.
Are we up to the challenge? Perhaps not.
With liberals still worshpping Anne Frank's tree like idol worshippers once worshipped the golden calf, the Jewish establishment will be reluctant to consider a change of strategy.
It seems impossible to penetrate their brains.
Yet-this article was circulated widely here in Toronto in a pan-synagogue newsletter, so obviously, some people are thinking about this, and take issue with the organized community about what can really only be described as a Holocaust fetish-as distasteful and unbelievable as that may be.
