The best name would be one that would stick it to the jhadis.
Like "IDF Akbar" or something.
"Cheap and lazy link gateway site"-Misc. grumpy dude.
"A lusty foul-mouthed Zionista wench." - Old Line Texan
"Mombo" - Pi Guy, Correspondence Committee
The best name would be one that would stick it to the jhadis.

Here's a little sample of what is going on throughout North American university campuses.
The unholy marriage between leftist and Islamic radicals continues along without much notice.
Check it out.
Austerity for thee, but not for me!
Apparently, the President of the United States has the most environmentally unfriendly ass on the continent.
And that's the nicest thing I can say about him.
They control everything!
Even now the Olympic Games are under the control of the JOOOOOOOOOOOOS.
Most galling part is this: "During the meeting, participants will plant a tree in memory of Ilan Halimi, a French Jew killed by an anti-Semitic gang in 2006, and visit the Drancy camp outside Paris where the Nazis sent French Jews to death camps during World War Two. "
Anonymous 'anti-Semitic gang'.
No mention that it was Muslims who were the anti-semitic mobsters. The same ones that deserve our outreach and understanding?
And no mention of the inspiration that the Nazis provide to the current sociopathic Jew-hating jihadists.
Nope-these foolish religious "leaders" will just carry on with insipid "dialogue" unwilling to see where that will lead us.
So, just in case you didn't get the Victim Identity Priority List, I'll review:
Gay and Muslim trumps everything else in the entire world.
Pedophiles come close. Hollywood likes them.
If this isn't a death panel, what is?
How happy are you that the government essentially owns your life and body?
This is the end result of "free" health care. You surrender your body to the government.
Palestinian writer notices world priorities:
"Obama and Clinton seem to be more worried about construction in Jewish settlements than war crimes and serious human rights violations in the Arab world."
I was really excited when Mark Steyn started writing for Maclean's.
I loved the way they waged their battle against the bevy of belligerent Muslims, their sock puppets and the Human Rights Commission. I even ordered an office subscription. Now I confess, I went right to the Steyn column and only leafed through the rest-but was definitely willing to suck up the crap between the Steyn columns because they were such a tasty intellectual and literary treat.
I also thought that Ken Whyte did a pretty good job poaching some very talented writers and editors from the National Post, and shook up the boring graphic design. It's certainly more attractive nowadays.
Unfortunately, the content is pretty much dreck.
Kathy pointed out that there is a microscopic placeholder in the Books section of Maclean's, indicating that Steyn is 'on leave' from the magazine.
I'll be canceling our subscription. It's just unreadable crap with the exception of Barbara Amiel's column nowadays.
Ya just don't cross Teh Steyn.
OK. This is a relatively useless article and I'm very immature.
And that's what is really important now isn't it?
"Nearly a quarter of Sweden’s population is now foreign born or has a foreign-born parent."
"Anti-racist" crusaders aghast!
Best news I've read all day-but it's only 7:30 a.m.
German labour courts fully sharia compliant.
What could possibly be wrong with that?
Of all the nerve!
"The Minneapolis school district's decision to start the next school year during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan will hamper relations with families who already consider the district culturally callous".
Bwahahaha! Culturally callous. I love it. More power to the dhimmis of Minnesota.
A bunch of aggressive, seething Muslims have been arrested for having "banded together to stir up religious hatred".
In classic bury the lede mealy-mouthed mainstream media practice on Islam, you only get a little more information further down.
"Police said the six were accused of "setting up a group that aimed to incite discrimination, racial and religious hatred, violence and jihad against Christians and Jews".
That kind of sounds like terrorism doesn't it? If even in Italy, they don't even have the balls to call Islamic terrorist plots against the Pope by its actual name (not "Pope Hate"), then we are screwed.
If we don't have the courage to name our enemies, we will never be able to fight them appropriately or ever win the battle.
Wow. Irony is like soooo ironic sometimes. As chance would have it, I had occassion to travel to Detroit and Windsor yesterday on business.
I never thought I would say that Windsor, Ontario is delightful-but compared to Detroit-it's paradise.
Believe me when I say that there is precious little to celebrate about Motown.
When one crosses the border from Windsor, one is immediately confronted by a mess of ugly bridges and crumbling infrastructure.
The highway toll is paid, yet the roads are littered with massive pot holes and chunks of ice on highway exit and entry ramps.
Formerly glorious buildings have no windows and graffiti.
Another striking thing I noticed was the almost complete absence of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the downtown area. People had either no reason to be downtown, or no jobs downtown. Certainly, there were many vacated stores along the main streets.
My companion and I noticed that almost without exception, all the literature that we were given from the various businesses and other professional contacts that we met with, contained nostalgic references to Detroit's art deco glory days of the 1920s and 1930s.
It was really pathetic and reminded me of an old show girl, tarted up in clothes she may have worn in her youth, with the same hair and make-up, refusing to believe that she has grown old and unattractive.
One downtown hotel has been gloriously restored to it's former beauty, with spectacular moldings and exquisitely high ceilings. One can almost picture the social scene at the time-men in tux and tails, women in pearls and gloves, the full-piece orchestras and formalities of dance cards.
But it is just a vision-a dream.
The people in the service industries must feel damned lucky to have their jobs. They are pleasant, jovial and determined.
Also interesting was the admission to me by a black venue manager that the unions are killing what is left of the cultural scene in Detroit. I received a quotation for a work project in which almost 25% of the budget was for union labourers.
I was aghast. He was embarrassed to have had to include this, but confessed that he had no choice.
Since when do Americans have no choice in America? This depresses the hell out of me.
I believe there are always choices. I told the manager that Michigan will be the next Wisconsin, because the unions have finally spent all of other people's money.
There is nowhere else to go.
He agreed.
As we happily left the city, heading back to Windsor, I asked my companion if she could actually envision a revitalized Detroit. She could not. It is hard, if not almost impossible to imagine an enterprise of this magnitude. Detroit requires a revitalization of the declining spiritual nature its people, and the grey, dark, dilapidated infrastructural bones that surround it.
My buddy scaramouche has the scoop.
Read and weep.
I am inclined to organize a demonstration over this.
Who is in?
It appears that they are now competing with Detroit for most illiterate state status.
Sheikh Al-Qadarwi advises girls to do their homework instead of masturbating.
Fingers, cucumbers or other objects can damage the hymen! Then nobody will believe she is a virgin!
Note: The gentle Sheikh says that if there has been cucumber damage, you don't have to kill the slut-flogging may do the trick.
He wisely advises that girls concentrate on their homework and stuff.
By divine, I don't mean 'fabulous', I mean that it has supernatural powers.
That is why they like to throw money at problems. In their eyes, if you just throw lots of (other people's) money at things, then all the problems fly away and people start farting Eau Du Unicorn and eat manna all day and night.
That is why governments have been convinced that throwing money at stuff like 'anti-extremist' programs will cut down on Muslim extremism.
The thing that best cuts down on local Muslim extremism is reducing the number of extremists that you invite to your home country.
We need more "racism" and honesty.
Uh oh?!?! Trouble in anti-racism land?
You cannot imagine what I would do if this were one of my kids.
However, it is actually more of the same, negating the obvious issues of same-sex adoptions and abuse.
The social engineers are still at it. They want to insist that a two parent-heterosexual marriage (not shack up) is the exact same as a single mother, a gay couple or whatever.
The other interesting thing is the difficulty that agencies have adopting out black or minority children. There have been other articles showing that white families have wanted to embrace minority children-but their overtures were stymied by the thought police.
If the motives for these reforms were sincere in their aim to place more children with loving families, they would declare that white parents would not be discriminated against for wanting to adopt minority children.
In my opinion, there should also be clear assistance for families to adopt children with disabilities-it is still better for children and less of a burden on the state financially to have children in homes rather than institutions.
HARAM.
Women smoking funky hookahs?
HARAM!!!!
Cinema?
HARAM-O-RAMA (unless certified halal by Gazan Muslim values committee, etc...
But the most HARAM of all....HAIR!
"Moderate", it's the new Jew.
Somehow they forgot to mention this part.
Tory Jew scum!
Idiot women.
Wigs and weaves look ridiculous.
"The "Ikhwan," as the Brotherhood is known here, is out of the closet and doesn't look so scary."
While I normally disagree with everything on their pages, with the exception of the punctuation, good for them for taking on one of the sacred cows of Canadian/Ontario health care: home care and the CCACs.
Community Care Access Centres are supposed to be this wonderfully efficient agency that coordinates home care and paramedical therapies for discharged hospital patients who can (allegedly) be back at home.
How much do you love waiting at a government office for your driver's license?
Isn't it fun when you have to negotiate with city officials about something inane like a permit?
Now imaging haggling with nameless bureaucrats to get the nursing, personal support or other care that they require, ostensibly to keep them out of the hospital (less expensive).
Ladies and gentlemen-this is what is known as rationed health care.
I know all about it because I have to fight all the time to maintain the care that I have in place for my disabled child.
Every year, we are threatened with more rationing of care.
It's totally exhausting. My only advantages are that I am fluent in English, won't take no for an answer, and that I know how to get publicity on certain issues and make sure they get to the media.
You would think they were running a family business they are not only stingy with hours-they make a pilgrimage every year to try to get people to agree to cut their own hours. When I was younger and my son was younger I stupidly and naively fell for their theatrics ('there are so many OTHER families that need help...")
Now if they even mention it, I tell them quietly that I will not agree to any reductions, and if they decide to make me a test case, that I will be notifying my Member of Parliament, my Member of Provincial Parliament, my city counselors and my media contacts. Let the court of public opinion weigh in-it won't be pretty
So many idiot "case workers" so ma.ny levels of mismanagement.
So much waste (new computer programs, paying nurses for meetings in the evenings once a month-I guess they have never heard of the internet, etc..)
One time when my son was sick, he had to have a "pic" line for nutrition-this is a line that goes right into one of the major veins. They didn't want to release him from hospital because the CCAC had no nurses that were available to come to my house once a day to change the "pic" line.
They were unmoved by my pleading that I would come in once a day to have the dressing changed and injected with heparin to keep it clean.
So, I learned how to do it right then and there, and threatened that if they didn't discharge him I would sign him out against medical orders (this triggers an investigation-they don't like it).
I changed it faithfully for the few days necessary until it could come out.
Our health care system is crumbling. Moms and Dads, brothers and sisters have to pick up the slack-this is what it comes down to. We have to be paramedical professionals and therapists in addition to paying the salaries of these bureaucrats in spades and have no accountability.
So once again-congratulations to the Toronto Star for this series-I will definitely be keeping an eye on it.
Union thuggery explained by Matt Welch.
"Your tax dollars exist to make public sector unions happy. When we run out of other people's money to pay for those contracts and promises (most of which are negotiated outside of public view, often between union officials and the politicians that union officials helped elect), then we just need to raise taxes to cover a shortfall that is obviously Wall Street's fault. Anyone who doesn't agree is a bully, and might just bear an uncanny resemblance to Hitler."
Agonizing-but sort of like a train wreck-you have to watch it.
If you can stomach it, read it.
The main point of the Ground Zero Mosque, is, of course-a victory mosque.
But as "Imam" Rauf also helpfully puts it, it's all about dialogue, and all those uppity kufars who keep wanting to blame 9/11 on Islam of all the nerve!
So the point of all of this activity and dawa is to pound into all of our dirty infidel heads that"Islam is not at the root of this".
Fortunately, free speech and anonymous speech is protected in America.
For now.
He is riffing on multiculturalism!
One of my favourite topics of course is the Celebrate Diversity cult in the Western world.
My personal feeling is that we should not be spending any taxpayer's money at all on deprogramming anyone who comes from the Third World. We should just limit immigration (or halt entirely, as Kathy suggests) from places where there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that the residents wish to live under Western standards of personal liberty.
That mostly means countries where sharia is the rule of law.
We should give some preference to persecuted minorities such as Christians in Muslim countries, or frankly-even Jews in European countries. Yes-it has come to that.
Mark points out several excellent examples of reality ALLEGEDLY hitting lefty activists in the face.
I say allegedly, because they never ever learn.
Unfortunately, even getting raped doesn't change their minds.
Nicholas Berg's dad is also still a raving moonbat.
Daniel Pearl's Dad is disgracing his son's memory by grovelling to multi-faith (read: dialogue groups about peace and reconciliation.
Lefty never learns. Lefty is impervious to facts.
It's soooo powerful. You ready?
Wait for it...
We are going to call them the names that they hate.
Yes-you saw it here. We are gonna PISS THEM OFF by not calling them what they like to be called!
We will defeat them with TERMINOLOGY!
I wish I were kidding-but this is the latest weapon in the Obama administration's battle against extreme people who might hate us for some reason.
I haven't seen the ones looking for physicians with expertise in a particularly Saudi medical sub-specialty:
Not dermatology, or anything pedestrian like that, my stupid little kufar friends.
Allow me to introduce you to the attachmentologist.
It's amazing to me that there is a little, tiny word missing in the article.
HINT: Islam.
No mention of what makes Egyptian women scared to walk the street, even plotting their routes with the help of the internet to avoid being raped.
No mention of glorious sharia.
Strange.
The only thing that is inevitable here is that the mainstream media will continue to try and avoid the Islamic nature of the attack, the unavoidable conclusion that Islam misogynistic in nature, and continue to try and make this and other examples of Muslim barbarity against girls and women some kind of vague, general issue of gender discrimination, generalized domestic violence or other such nonsense.
Isn't there a word for Jews that like to turn in other Jews to authority figures? And didn't that work out so well did it?
I would rather have my sensible, pro-Israel gentile friends by my side than these leftist weenie, emasculated, pathetic excuses for Jewish men.
Jewish warriors can actually fight (see IDF). Only Jewish wussies fight imaginary enemies from cushy desk jobs on Bathurst Street in Toronto.
Your UJA dollars, my friends go to these urban Jewish wimps and all of their ridiculous crusades against Nazi Magic Markers of Doom and hurt gay feelings.
How pathetic.
We're screwed.
This is so succinct.
This is what liberals think of the lack of conservatives in academia.
And in Germany, too-Iranian curricula.
I don't care how many purple hijabs you wear, or how many times you try to disassociate Islam with violence against women. Who are you gonna believe?
The reverts or your own lying eyes?
("Yoosuf Penney, who converted to Islam at 18, spoke at the event to say that a balance must be struck between acknowledging abuse among Muslims, but not allowing the problem to become associated with the community.")
They are more concerned about appearances than acts, and tribal honour-shame codes.
And as my friend Kathy has blithley noted on more than one occasion, Muslims strongest contributions to the issue of domestic violence is the number of their own women who are in womens' shelters.
I am unimpressed and unmoved by this token phoney-baloney gesture.
But seriously is anyone else fucking sick of Tibet and the Dalai Lama?
I know I am.
Or maybe I should-I could use some extra cash.
Video of Niall Ferguson teaching MSM morons a few things about Obama's ineptitude, the Muslim Brotherhood and the view of the situation from an experienced historian.
New civility, hmmm-let me get out my LEFTY to CONSERVATIVE translation app..
Ahh yes, it means "shut the f&ck up conservatives, WE WON!!!".
Leave it to the Globe & Mail to "discover" what women REALLY want.
Are they totally insane?
I guess so.
Ahh the charms of liberal Europe. Cobblestone roads, legal Mary Jane, hookers everywhere and cute Moroccan youths....
What happened in Egypt was a military coup. But the narrative is very different. Gird yer loins...
DUDE. I've heard you speak and you've got some good things to say (except the part about how great it is that Jews eat samosas and stuff with Somalis and chew khat together and that makes Canada stronger and stuff).
Anyway, I digress.
You want to explain to me why this guy gets to stay in Canada?
Private businesses have the right to hire and fire anyone they want. Unlike the City of Toronto, employees of private businesses do not have jobs for life.
Of course, this is unacceptable to the left, and they continue to be able to use the Ontario Human Rights Commission to force leftist agendas onto private individuals and businesses.
Let's keep our eyes on this, shall we?
I also think 'couples therapy' is a massive load of dogsqueeze and I will tell you why.
A friend of mine from high school was seeing a guy during university and wanted to get married.
They moved in together ('shacked up') and she wanted an engagement ring. He kept putting it off. She kept waiting. He schlepped it out.
He was scared, he was not ready, he was doing his PhD, there was always a reason.
Their other friends said they should GO TO THERAPY to try to WORK IT OUT.
And I said that was a stupid plan and she should dump his sorry unappreciative ass.
I think I put it a little nicer back then.
Anyway-here's the point. The point is that couples have to be able to figuratively 'slug it out' if there is any hope of staying together.
Getting married is easy. Staying married is damned hard work.
But if you require a third person to resolve things-be it a therapist, or a counselor or religious leader or whatever-you are pretty much doomed as a couple.
Having a third person in the picture means that you are not being brutally honest with your partner. You require someone else to translate your thoughts for you to the person you have chosen to be with. That sucks.
I've had some doozy arguments with my husband. It's not fun.
But somehow, we have manged to muddle through and come up with solutions-nobody is happy all the time. Sometimes both of us are not happy.
But I really believe you can't rely on an outside person to intervene in a marriage.
When I hear people mentioning that they are considering seeing a relationship therapist, or that they are in therapy, I pretty much assume that the marriage is doomed.
Or, as a male friend of mine once said (and he is now happily remarried), "I don't need an ugly lesbian with a butch haircut and a bad sweater to tell me what an asshole of a husband I am".
Ya gotta work it out-just the two of you.
It's very interesting.
I'm thinking that the people of Detroit are now kind of like America's Palestinians. This is a group of people that has no interested in weaning itself of dependency and welfare. It has grown used to paternalistic government taking care of things and I can't see them taking care of themselves.
The woes, in my opinion are not all economic.
I think that there are very clear signs of spiritual and intellectual decline that preceded the economic troubles.
If the spirits of the population are broken, unconnected to living a moral life, then there can be no physical progression in a city.
I posted this article earlier in the year. It is a devastating portrait of the decline of the American family, and the unraveling of previous shame of being a single mother.
It's written about Connecticut but I am sure that the picture is quite similar in Detroit.
Babies having babies, not getting married and not finishing high school-sure fire ways to remain mired in poverty.
The physical decline of Detroit has been documented and lamented in the mainstream media. But little has been written about the spiritual decline of the city.
Why should we lament the rotting buildings? We need to examine the corrupted souls of the city. Steyn is right-union greed, government greed, dysfunctional and bloated bureaucracies-are the city's Scarlett Letter.
The physical structures are merely a reflection of the decline of the American spirit in Detroit. The physical structures reflect the moral decline, and show us exactly what happens when people give up on their children and abandon their own individual responsibility to govern their lives to their highest potential-waiting for others and government to pick up the dirty, fallen pieces.
I'm reminded of this piece by Barbara Kay in the National Post. She refers to a teacher in Ontario and the absentee parents, but isn't it likely it is the same case in Detroit?
Detroit is shooting the messenger.
If you are American, there is a chance that you could be murdered-that your life will be sacrificed instead of hurting a Muslim's feelings.
How does that make you feel?
The juxtaposition between this fact and the recent flood of articles commemorating Ronald Reagan is truly jarring.
New York Post thinks he has poured out the 'multi-cult kool-aid'. I don't think so.
If the goal of the mission is solely to prevent an Islamic terrorist monstrosity from setting up shop there as the de facto government so that they can comfortably plan and launch another 9/11, then I guess I am for it.
But I really resent the idea that our soldiers are there to build wells or teach girls how to spell, or any other idiotic idealistic fantasies.
These people are barbarians and they will never change.
That is why this little piece is absolutely shocking.
Intellectual diversity-at a university?
Flying pig moment.
Every minute that goes by without new, better, taller towers-more glorious than before is another Islamic Nazi triumph.
Every day that goes by with bureaucratic bickering and the absence of an appropriate memorial is a sign of impotence.
And he's adorable. Check out Avi Avital!
This makes my blood boil-not because it's a Jewish event specifically-but because of the entire phenomenon. We are letting lefty activists RUIN the entire world, and impede the legal sovereignty of nations. We are total idiots.
The countries that don't stand up to this bullying are p&ssy wankers also.
I know there have been mixed reviews of Ron Reagan's book, but I found this excerpt very moving-I actually got tears in my eyes.
Ronald Reagan was a great man, a great leader and had much love in his life.
I may check out the book-as I found this passage touching, and the writing sensitive and respectful.
Associated Press has picked up Ezra's phrase "ethical oil"-and Stephen Harper is using it as well.
What part of 'leave the old country mentality in the old country' is so hard to understand?
Music is HARAM in sharia shit-holes.
Ditto physical education-ditto girls at school.
These people should not be accommodated, but told that if they do not wish to attend public school, with our dirty kufar traditions, they are welcome to find private schools-and pay for them.
If for no other reason than this being an issue in which I agree with Michelle Obama.
And we can't have that happen too often. Strange things will start to happen...
Look, getting old SUCKS. But I ain't injecting fat or plastic into my face, ass or boobs no matter what.
She was SO beautiful. I can't believe how she has destroyed herself.
P.S Move along, nothing to see here!
I think it's a great idea and I'm going to browse through.
This is really, really stupid.
I really love shopping at Walmart, but if you market anti-aging products to 8 year old girls, I will seriously stop shopping there.
I will not support that idiocy with my hard earned dollars.
Can you imagine this scenario? A woman business owner was ordered to pay thousands of dollars to an employee that she had on the payroll for six weeks because the Ontario Human Rights mandarins felt that she was treated badly, or meanly or whatever?
This is another story that illustrates the INSANE amount of UNDESERVED power that the Ontario Human Rights Commission has here in Canada.
With no legal background-these people can ruin your life and bankrupt you entirely-ruin your good name and make your life miserable.
Not everyone has the wherewithal to fight back. Mark Steyn has, and Ezra Levant has-but at a very high personal cost (financially, emotionally and professionally).
Read this: "Saadi, a York University graduate, filed the complaint against Telfer after she was fired from Audmax in June 2008. Saadi was given free services from the legal support centre. Telfer represented herself.""The Toronto Star wrote about Saadi’s case last year, in a story about the new human rights system, which is swamped with complaints. Saadi is a Muslim woman, who wears a hijab. In July 2009, Saadi told the four-day tribunal hearing that she felt targeted after two other Muslim women quit their jobs at Audmax."
"Saadi said she felt pressured by Telfer to wear skirts and heels, saying she preferred her long, loose clothing. Saadi also said Telfer complained about the smell of food that she warmed in the microwave."
"The adjudicator’s decision found that Saadi was a victim of discrimination. He ordered Telfer and her company to pay Saadi $36,000 for lost wages and general damages."
Outrageous. Someone makes an innocuous crack about your food being stinky, which it probably was, and that's worth $36K of someone else's hard-earned money? For hurt feelings? That's what 'discrimination' means nowadays?
The entire concept and process is flawed.
To wit:
"The Superior Court found nine points in which the tribunal adjudicator failed to provide a fair hearing or made legal errors."
"For example, the court said the adjudicator did not give Telfer the opportunity to call a key witness, who would have testified about Saadi’s choice of clothing, “unauthorized intrusions into other people’s desks, and missing files.”
"The court also ordered Saadi to pay Telfer $10,000 in legal costs. The legal support centre has said it will pay that bill, and represent Saadi at the new hearing."[ed note-who pays for that actually??]
“I am a little bit surprised and a little bit confused about how the justice system works,” Saadi said.
Yah, I bet you are my little friend-you are surprised that you couldn't game the system this time.
