Kathy Says It The Best
I read the articles by Jon Kay and Barbara Kay this morning in the dead tree version of the National Post and damned if I didn't get too busy today to pay it proper mind.
Kathy, my delightful buddy put it better than I could. I meant to talk to her today and say "hey-Kathy, did you see those two articles-ARE THEY WHACK OR WHAT??
It is absolutely true that scavenging by the mainstream media by bloggers happens ALL THE TIME. But I have personally had ideas rejected by several mainstream publications only to see them in print-slightly modified-the next day or a few days later.
I always see people swiping Kate the Great's lines and scaramouche-well she is a fine a writer as any. Both her and Kathy would be fantastic additions to the wimpy editorial pages that exist in Canada. Kathy's stuff is contstantly being used as 'inspiration' for pieces in the National Post.
So it is simply not true that us "dainty" women don't have skin tough enough for this game.
We have the ideas and the writing ability, but some of us have ideas that are just not 'mainstream' enough for most gutless publications.
Kathy's hubby is super awesome about sharing and hat tipping. He's super awesome in general.
Then there is Mark Steyn. You know Steyn has absolute oodles of fans all over the world. Mark Steyn never hesitates to credit ideas that he has seen on blogs. The guy is a mensch and a mentor. Steyn: The Menschy Mentor!!!
Writing under my own name, I've bin a magnet for plenty of antisemitic and lefty spew.
I don't sob into a box of Kleenex and down a box of Oreos lamenting that I am a mere woman who would be better off as a kindergarten teacher-I actually get off on it.
I'm thinking that it is pretty exciting and gratifying to work a bunch of Jew-hating lefty bastards into a frothing, seething lather.

Most opinion writers in Canada are white men with little edge and many pass down writing gigs like they were some kind of Arabian style inheritance that must go from generation to generation.
So there. If we don't have the stuff, then why are people reading our blogs. We see where you are coming from-government, CBC, National Post, Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, the State Department, the House of Congress.
We're the ones doing the research, posting the fun stuff, making you think and laugh, letting you know about the jihadis in your midst and keeping you informed about the most egregious delinces in our civilization. We're not a bunch of whining, estrogen laden wimps without opinions.

As if this woman hasn't been through enough?
The husband DUMPS her after she gets a brain injury due to medical errors during the delivery of triplets and then he doesn't want her children to have anything to do with her?
Supervised visits sound perfectly reasonable to me.
The children have to live with the tragedy that befell their mother during their births-and will eventually know that their father forgot entirely about the 'in sickness and health' part of the vows.
There is no reason to compound the sorrow of this horrible story even further by punishing this poor woman by keeping her kids away from her.
Life is full of tough stuff, but the children are the positive thing that came out of this tragedy.

How do I know this? Well DUH. Because it happened to me. Several times, in fact.

It’s not really terrorism because it’s just those uppity Jews that call it that, it is an Israeli semantic invention. It’s just a “Palestinian strike”. Everyone clear on that?
Even newspapers that are ostensibly friendly to Israel have bought into the narrative-using copy, generated by naïve Lawrence of Arabia journalist types(at best) to extreme anti-Semite journalist types (at worst). The cycle of violence! Moral equivalence boiled down to its extreme essence in just four words.
Of course it’s no small wonder that there was barely more than a media belch about the decapitated Jewish baby and her family. Those who do not speak of the evil or report on it in a way that clearly denotes terrorist and victim are sympathetic to it. There is no other way to see it.

It used to be that it was unfashionable in a post-Holocaust age to utter anti-Jewish epithets. There was a bit of shame involved when one got caught. True Confessions.
I have a confession to make.
I think I'm very smart.
I also think I give really good advice.
I try to stay away from gratuitous advice, and only give advice when I'm asked. Even then, I only like to give advice to people who I think can handle it. Not in a mean way, but in an honest way that I think will actually help.
I know I have helped a lot of people-just by looking at things in a very real, not-sugar-coated manner, but not in a destructive way.
The other thing is I don't go back for second helpings from assholes or people who clearly enjoy their misery.
I put those people on "dump" or "ignore" and it's tough for them.
I ain't a social worker.
Anyway, as smart as I think I am, and as much as I truly loath the "helpy" people (especially social workers and psychologists) this shrink-"Dr. Lastname" is a truly super smart person and I really love his or her advice.
This is a recent gem-but if you have time, read some of the other items.
I feel like I know this person, I think it even sounds like me.
Just a treasure of smart thinking, good advice and wise thoughts.

Good News: British Police Happily Take on Role of Sharia Compliance
Saw this at Kathy's place.
As Kathy so aptly points out, playing the "Jew" card in this situation is so pathetic, it's almost laughable.
But, the truth is no defense!
It is certainly the act of a gutless pussy to complain to the police about "offensive" words, and it should be just as outrageous that the police in any Western country actually investigate these things.
The police in our countries and the judiciary are happily and easily becoming sharia compliance agencies!
In Ezra Levant's case here in Canada, and Mark Steyn's case here-the police actually went along and investigated "charges" of Islamic blasphemy.
Earlier today, I posted about a court in Florida ordering Muslims-against their will-to solve a dispute through sharia.
And now, more sharia enforcement and intimidation in the land of the Magna Carta.

I've tried to do this will my kids. One thing that I have actually found very helpful is observing the Jewish Sabbath.
I was not brought up in a religious household, but keep the Sabbath now.
In addition to there being a commandment in Jewish law to keep the Sabbath, for me-it has also been a way of showing my kids that there is something beyond their immediate desires. There is something bigger than their particular wants and needs-there is a big world out there.
A certain spiritual discipline is required to shut out and shut off electronic devices, electricity and traveling in order to focus on the family, and rest.
Actually, in literal terms the blessing over wine describes that on the Sabbath, that one "shavat"-from the Hebrew SH/V/T meaning a pause, or a break and "lehinafash", which is a beautiful phrase that turns the word N/F/SH, the spirit or the soul ("nefesh") into a reflexive verb: to restore one's soul.
So many people grow up so selfishly, and so focused on the flesh, the pleasures, the immediate gratification.
If there is no big picture in a child's life, and no discipline, life will be shallow and unsatisfying.

However, I think no amount of counter-activity can convince people who want to express their Judenhaas through demonization and dehumanizing Jews will be effective.

The only other counter activities we should engage in are fighting these bastards wherever they are, strengthening Judeo-Christian society, and pushing back every single seemingly minute example of sharia by stealth.

Not that anyone except a handful of bloggers in the world cares.
So, I thought to myself-Bernie M. Farber and the Canadian Jewish Congress-hey, they are the "experts" on Canadian Jewry, they are our fearless leaders!
I went to the web site of the Canadian Jewish Congress this morning and lo and behold: GURNISHT!
The screen shot is posted above.
There are lots of very important items on the web site, but Itamar? Nowhere.
Decapitated Jewish babies? Nowhere. Orhpans-nowhere.
Nothing on their Twitter feed so far, nothing in their Antisemitism section, or in the "What is Antisemitism" page. You know what I think? I think that stabbing Jews in the middle of the night, and cutting off Jewish babies heads is actually pretty antisemitic.
I'm thinking that the Canadian "Jewish" Congress should probably modify their definition of "Hate Speech" to include Allahu Akbar. Somehow, I don't see Allahu Akbar in their definition of hate speech! I am baffled!
By the way, the screen shot from the Canadian "Jewish" Congress is from about 9:30 this morning. I'm thinking that because I have mentioned the name Bernie M. I took a look at some of the major newspapers this morning. Very few are mentioning the latest murders of innocent Jews in Israel at the hands of blood-thirsty, death-cultist Palestinian Islamic terrorists.
After the Sabbath, my husband started reading about it on-line and then looked at me and said "where is the world?".
I had to unfortunately remind him that the world doesn't care about Jews, and to suggest he stop reading.
I keep reminding myself that there is no level of depravity that the Palestinian "culture" will not stoop to.
They kill babies, and hand out sweet to celebrate.
They send their own children to murder other people in the name of their Allah, in tribute to their depraved religious beliefs.
Animals do not behave as such.
They use every physical thing on earth imaginable as a tool of murder: planes, cars, people, airplanes, trains-there is not a physical object that cannot be turned into a weapon of murder for these barbarians.
If you are pro-Palestinian, this means that you identify and that you morally, philosophically and intellectually support this culture, and support the war against Jews and Western civilization.
It means you are a pathetic, evil person and it means you are my enemy.
It's hard to find the words that accurately convey my disgust and anger.
It's even less satisfying to try to think of the ways in which these latest atrocities can be avenged.
The murderers can be hunted and killed, but there is no relief from the pain for the surviving children and the families of those who were murdered in cold blood.
Few tears will be shed and more concessions will be expected from the uppity Jews of Israel who refuse to die and refuse to be pushed into the sea.
Their battle is our battle. Those who side with Palestinians are a very dangerous enemy indeed, no matter where they hide-in elected office, in student councils, in houses of high fashion in Europe, or in organized religion.
The spirit of the Nazis is alive and well, and thriving in Palestine and among the throngs of worshipers of the Cult of Palestinianism all over the world.
Despicable barbarians.

Islam is Rightly Emboldened
Have you heard of Beth Galinsky?
I just did. If Beth was a dude, I would be inclined to say that he had a pair of the biggest stones in America today. Beth is a feisty Jewish chick from New York, who was unmoved by the dhimmiest demonstration in America-a stone’s throw away from Ground Zero. Beth is not inclined to take up the “I’m A Muslim” mantle. She says:

Europe, I believe is lost.
It’s frankly very hard for me to muster any sympathy for Europe. They abandoned and slaughtered their Jews, and then imported Muslims. The elites made a conscious choice to commit demographic hari-kari. And even more insidious was the way in which the Holocaust guilt-ridden Europeans quickly turned on Israel, turning Jews into Nazis in newspapers, policy forums, in the arts and even in local and national politics. Eager to rid themselves of the now non-fashionable anti-Semitic label, they poured their scorn on Israel-the New Jew, and simultaneously funded Palestinian terror and supported Islamic and leftist Judenhaas with their money, minds, religious institutions and political clout. I have no sympathy for Europe, just disgust. Jews need to get out of Europe and live (even if it means as penniless refugees once again) either in Israel, Canada, America or Australia. In my view, these are the only places in the world where Jews ought to even consider living. And where Jews go, so does civilization. Cultures that have been inhospitable to their Jews have pretty much gone down the civilization toilet. We Jews and our non-Jewish friends and allies, need to fight tooth and nail against the jihad. If you don’t want to live in the caliphate, you better damned well do something about it with whatever tools you have at your disposal. Publish, fight, learn their language, visit Israel, promote Judeo-Christian values, make jokes about them, make movies or songs, raise children who are confident in their Judeo-Christian heritage,understand what is at stake and are willing to fight for it. We cannot sit idle while the caliphate and its evil henchmen laugh at our emasculated, frightened selves and leaders. Cowardice kills.
