Ontario Human Rights Commission to Debate "Right" to Breastfeed in Public Pools

Let's milk this one for all it's worth! My own view is that mothers who breastfeed should be able to do so discreetly in public. I do not appreciate seeing anyone expose their entire breast to people they might not even say hello to otherwise. It's still a breast and our society has taboos about exposing breasts. A little shawl, a nursing blanket, that's all that is necessary to make both parties comfortable. I think it's disgusting to breastfeed IN a public swimming pool.

I'm a mother who breastfed and I have to agree with you. If I didn't have a blankie or something to cover up with, I would either go back to my car and rbeastfeed there, which was more comfortable or I would find a discreet location. For example, the back booth in the least populated section of a restaurant I wanted to eat at and I would ask for a female server.

As for breastfeeding IN a pool, why not just allow people to pee and poop in it as well? It's all bodily fluids.

I must agree with you. Blanket is a must if you're out in an open and breast feeding is needed.
