Vaclav Havel rips the UN a new one.
Worth clicking on The New York Times web site for this piece, which encourages democracies to actually care who is on the UN's Human Rights Council. I guess we should care, but my first preference would actually be to rip down the UN and replace it with a new UDN. United Democratic Nations. The UN is a pathetic, anti-Western hellhole on prime NYC real estate that only serves to further the diplomatic careers of rancid diplomats from dictatorships, Manhattan prostitutes and NYC parking ticket coffers (when countries occassionally pay up).Why should any democracy pay the bill for representatives of ass-backward tinpot dictators from Crapistan, Thugistan and Kleptostan to have the best time of their miserable, repressive lives in Manhattan, and the first (and usually only) democratic votes of their lives?
