Good News: Germany Muslim Population Much Larger and "More Diverse" Than Originally Thought
According to the latest figures, Germany's Muslim community numbers close to 4 million people, or about 5 percent of the entire population. Past estimates put the number of Muslims in the country at 3.1 to 3.4 million. Additionally, the survey funded by the Interior Ministry found that Germany's Muslim community is very diverse. What is this diversity you ask? "A third of respondents described themselves as "strongly religious," while half said they were "relatively religious." That's pretty diverse!
