Liberians in Arizona Get It Totally Wrong (Suprise!)
You knew this was going to happen. The local Liberian community in Arizona is scared, terrified-whatever-about a possible "backlash" against them because some of their kids a) raped an 8 year old girl and b) the Liberian dad of the rape victim decided that his daughter had shamed the family and therefore he didn't want her anymore.I actually think it's sickening that FOX News has published the article, unless the reason was to give them enough rope to hang themselves. Instead of these communities looking themselves in the eye and admitting they have a shame/honour problem (or rather-obsession) just like Arabs, they blame everyone but themselves. The "leader" of their community is scared that there might be an employment backlash! A little girl gets raped, and then raped again by her own family and is in foster care, and the "leader" is worried about jobs for his community members. Disgusting. Yes-our culture is better than yours, sir. Bring your tired to this land, your foods and your music but leave primitive cultural baggage behind.A member of any culture that ties its "honour" to vaginas is not worthy of citizenship in the new world and should be shown the door.

Just one more excuse to start shooting people at the border, or in the airports...
Someone should remind this moron 'leader' just what freakin' continent he's on, and let him know that there's a different set of rules here. He can still dance naked around a bonfire with a pork bone stuck through his nose (or whatever these people do), but the rest of us will still reserve the right to regard him as an ignorant savage if he does.
If 'the leader' truly wishes to join those of us who read English, can identify a flush toilet, and know what function it serves, he's more than welcome to -- just as soon as he ditches the screw-her-I'm-entitled attitude, and then begs forgiveness from that poor child.
