Worthington: Bring Israeli Security to Our Airports

It would seem like such a sensible idea.

I actually think that there has to be a concerted effort to re-brand the entire vocabulary of air traffic safety. There really is no such thing as "racial" profiling-Islam is not a race. It has members who are from many different national backgrounds, and who have many different skin colours, eye colours, etc..

Similarly, being a bit wary of Islamic head-choppers and suicide bombers does not make one "racist". It is quite legitimate to be a little Allahphobic or Mohammadphobic nowadays, given the propensity of fanatic Muslims to engage in such activities as, ahem, terrorism.

The people who control the language control the debate.

Civilized Westerners are losing the language battle once again, because the terms of reference are being established and promoted by the Left and its unholy alliance with the emerging Caliphate.

We should not use the term "racial profiling". Even the word "profiling" gets everyone's nose bent out of shape. The only term we need is anti-terror, or air-safety measures. Nobody has a right to travel on an airline, and nobody has a right to kill people using an airline as a weapon (I know-I'm such a radical).

When will the citizenry reject the diktats to arrive 3 hours early for a transatlantic flight when it's really a limited number of people, from a limited religious orientation, that need to be more closely scrutinized before they get anywhere near an airport?

Why are we willing to 'suck up' a few events here and there? Why aren't we taking a lesson from Israel on at least this particular issue? Are we so brainwashed-is the rot so deep-that we have accepted the odds that we, or our loved ones are legitimate collateral damage as blood sacrifices to Allah via airline jihad?

In a recent clip aired on Hot Air, Israeli security officials spoke of 'thinking like the terrorists'. What a concept-it essentially means shoe bombing? Been there, done that, we really can safely keep our shoes on now. The stunts that have been pulled will not be repeated. However, there is no device, no tool, no living thing, no piece of equipment or inanimate object that will not be utilized by the Islamic barbarian terrorists as an instrument of death. It's hard for our precious, sensitized, morally relative minds to comprehend this fact-but it is a fact.

Why can't we, as citizens, insist that the best minds be harnessed by our security forces to think like terrorists-just like the Israelis are doing so successfully?

Does any Western leader, or any Western security force, with the exception of Israel, actually have the stones to take this one on?
