Nanny Bastards: Cooking With Salt Edition

I thought America was the land of the free?

How free can you be if your legislature wants to make it illegal to add salt into food?

They can pry the salt shaker out of my cold, dead hands.

And you thought I was kidding, right?

This week, they're pushing a tax on sodas and "sugary" drinks which contribute to "childhood obesity" and give the rest of us diabetes which somehow costs New York City money...oh right, they have to pay the medical bills for all the welfare recipients.

It would just be easier to pass a law that says fat, willfully-poor minorities aren't allowed to eat and drink anything but bread and water. But that would be racist, so the rest of us have to suffer, too.

P.S. Michael Bloomberg (Mayor of New York City) had to have the epection laws overturned by an illegal vote of the City Council in order to allow him to run for a third term in office.

This was one his signature issues. By the way, Bloomberg calls himself a republican. Probably because that was the cheaper label to buy.

He spent several tens of millions of dollars for re-election, and nearly lost to an even bigger jerk.
