The West Is Screwed

When I first moved back to Canada from another far away place, my husband used to get so angry about the commercials on TV where you see a woman loading in her precious cargo into the expensive mini-van.

The precious cargo was not a gaggle of kids, but rather a few dogs.

Presumably, the dogs were meeting her emotional needs more than say-a husband and children would.

He similarly called commercials advertising the 99 cent hamburger "Canadian Excitement".

There is an ADP commercial that also has a white, blond woman who is so relieved that firemen were able to extract her 'most precious possession' from her house when the fire alarm goes off-another dog story.

So, when I read stories like this-I am genuinely concerned for our civilization.

Of course we must be kind to domestic animals, but they are animals. Animals don't have psychiatric problems: humans do.

No wonder the jihadis laugh their asses off when they think of squishy, decadent Western society.

How would you characterize this story otherwise?
