Enough of the 'self-esteem' crap.
Let them eat dirt, get into fights, be punished, help around the house, fail and threaten not to invite you to their birthday party, etc..
Too many parents are sniveling weaklings, so scared to say "no" to their children.
Brats must be controlled. Children need limits. The "self-esteem" movement is a rotten, lefty philosophy that turns perfectly normal children into self-absorbed navel gazing, therapy addicted child-adults who can't cope with criticism and are 'above' getting married and growing up.
