How's That Hope N' Change Working Out For Ya?

Another day, another failure of an Obama plan.

What did people expect?

Matthew Noto said...: You make the erroneous assumption, C-in-C, that "success" and "failure" have meaningful definitions separate from political machinations..

For example, if Obama's Re-negotiation Plan "failed" in the sense that 1/3 of the re-negotiated mortgages still defaulted, it still "succeeded" because:

a) it kept a brother in a house he had no right to and couldn't afford for another year,

b)It basically gave billions in taxpayer subsidies to a few hundred thousand potential democratic-party voters (i.e. deadbeats),

c) The apalling "failure rate" will be an excellent argument in favor of more "Federal Oversight and Regulation" of the industry, with a corresponding increase in "funding" (giveaways). To a democrat (small 'd' intentional), every problem can be solved with greater government control and more wasted money.

If the "failure" of this program leads to the "success" of a mortgage system thoroughly under the federal thumb and in which the private sector is either marginalized or dictated to by government, then Obama has "succeeded" as this was probably his original aim.; June 22, 2010
