Toronto: Wussy Police, Non "Shocking" Violence

I woke up this morning to hear about the "shocking" violence of the G-20 protesters.

Am I the only one who is not as "shocked" as police chief Bill Blair (who should resign).

Apparently, not even $1 billion can buy you good security nowadays.

It appears as though Toronto police, and all the gazillions of police officers and private security officers who were hired for double, and triple and quadruple duty are a bunch of wankers.

How pathetic.

Now, the pathetic police want the public, who is already paying the bill for the Keystone Kops, to submit their video footage so that the police can be post-facto Facebook detectives.

Is that pathetic or what? Not worrying about public order, arresting the bad guys and stuff because we can catch them later by sitting on our asses, sipping a Double Double and watching it in instant replay on YouTube?

In my opinion, businesses should be suing the Toronto Police and the City of Toronto for the failure to maintain order.

My faith in the police has been shaken before-like when Hizballah demonstrators have been allowed to Jihadisize downtown Toronto with impunity, and how my friends have been assaulted at demonstrations for being Zionists and how the police literally abandon the pro-Israel demonstrators and take the side of the thugs-so this is just a new low.

And it probably will get worse. But it's not surprising.

The city's leadership and administration has tacked so far left under David Miller that none of this should shock anyone.

It's quite embarrassing to be a Canadian right now.

The protests weren't "hijacked" by a few violent thugs. Our entire city has been hijacked by a leftist mentality and unless we vote out the left, we are complicit-just like the police are in this security fiasco.

Where are the real men? The picture of the burning police squad car says it all. If I were a police officer today I would be embarrassed to show my face.

This is a disgrace.

It disgusts me that police stood by and watched as criminals destroyed police cars and private property, but then picked on more docile people who were not involved in criminal activity.

The police chief should resign or be fired, but I don't think that's likely to happen.

You are spot on here.
After seeing the way the police acted and failed so miserably on so many levels during the last 2 days, I must say that I feel a certain sadness to discover just how incompetent governments and authorities have become. The scandal of spending $1B on this total fiasco will probably be shoved under the rug and within 3 days, once the HST kicks in, no one will even mention the G20. And we will have learned nothing and the politicians like Miller will still pretend that they are shocked when in fact they are all in kahoots as they are all "brothers"...whether the police, the civil servants, etc...
What a sorry weekend this was and how revealing it was!
