The push for making euthanasia "easier" has very little to do with the wishes of the grievously ill or disabled and much to do with the inconvenience and expense that caring for these fellow humans entails. Notice that where euthanasia has been openly practiced the longest, e.g., the Netherlands, it has slipped with amazing rapidity from voluntary assisted suicide to euthanasia for social convenience. The Lord indeed knew what He was about when He commanded the Children of Israel--and the rest of humanity by extension--to "choose life" (Deut 30:19).
