This is truly a case of Constructo Ad Absurdum!
Personally, I think that if you are at the point in any job where you feel like you have to "prove" yourself and how truly valuable you are to the organization, you better have had at least a dozen resumes already out the door.
If you are a valuable employee, you should not feel the acute need to dance furiously, showing your wares, "convincing" the powers that be that you are a fine, fine person to have on staff.
How do I know this? Well DUH. Because it happened to me. Several times, in fact.
I think scaramouche this is right. This appears to me to be the Canadian Jewish Congress's Dance of 100 Veiled Threats to Its Existence. Could the job for life be coming to an end? Stay tuned.
