Here in the U. S., the Left is chomping at the bit to "rationalize" the allocation of medical resources along the lines of denying treatment to the old and the disabled. The phrase _Lebensunwertes Leben_ comes to mind. The folk who push this ideology had better be right, from their perspective, in having taken the opposite side of Pascal's Wager. Things cannot go too well for them if they must stand unrepentant before a just God at the Eschaton.
