I love Heather MacDonald's reports on the culture wars. She is both deliciously politically incorrect and irrefragably logical. All of that "white Western linear logic" must leave the multiculti Left absolutely frothing at the mouth.

That said, I was not in the least surprised to learn that the indoctrination machinery in California's public universities is growing apace even while valuable academic programs are being cut radically. California's state government is now owned lock, stock, and barrel by the Gramscian Left, which embarked on a multi-decadal infiltration and takeover of the Golden State's once exceptional public university system, the envy of the other 49 states. You can bet they didn't go through the bother just to improve the engineering curriculum! To them, the revolutionary purpose of the universities is to serve as indoctrination factories; everything else is secondary.
