The Wussification (Willing) of Men Continues

Where have all the real men gone?

Good grief.

No wonder a lot of women are satisfied with turkey basters. They are probably more masculine than most of the men in their communities.

Well, I have to admit that I have no strong feelings one way or another about the _Manland_ phenomenon. One can always read portentous omens in the most mundane things. But I agree that the phenomenon of men's wussification is very real, and manifested in much less ambiguous and much more serious ways than the article to which you linked considers: In Scandinavia, ancestral home of the fearsome Northmen of the early Middle Ages, men now stand by inertly while their women are gang-raped on the street in the more . . . exotic . . . quarters of their cities. And, of course, in 2003, in a department store in Stockholm, full of men as well as women shoppers, Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh was stabbed to death; not one man intervened, even though the killer had no weapon other than his knife. A few months ago, the _Gallia Watch_ blog showed a video from Paris, France, that showed a white French girl being punched by a black African immigrant, in broad daylight, on a well-frequented boulevard, because she ignored his clumsy sexual advances. In the video's background, you could see a number of young Frenchmen _who just stood and watched_! And, of course, I need not recount the details of the shameful Marc Lepine/Gamil Gharbi episode on a Canadian blog.

The decadence of the male of the species is very real indeed.
