Socialized medicine means that "the government" owns your body. A blob of useless, unelected people can decide if your life is worth anything, how much of a dollar value it has and who should live and die.
So, there really are "death panels", they exist in every level of government in countries that have socialized medical system.
Behold: the NHS in the United Kingdom, refusing to fund a life-saving cancer drug for a military veteran and father of two because he lives in the wrong postal code.
Yes. You read that correctly. The wrong postal code.
Letters to the local NHS were unanswered.
Perhaps enough negative publicity will shame the NHS into funding this drug.
Socialized medicine is an encroachment on our personal liberties, on our very person-our bodies and our children's bodies. It is a frightening, Orwellian quagmire that has been re-branded to "free" healthcare.
Be careful where you get sick.
