So I baked some muffins, cleaned up, took the kids to the library and have been counting down the days to get back to work-2 business days.
YAY WORK! YAY MONDAY!
Luckily, there was a new Steyn clip from Fox news to watch, and it was about Sneaker Madness.
That therapist lady was really, really annoying-you can see for yourself.
Deneen Borelli made sense. The "therapist" person (probably a psychologist or a "doctor" of some ridiculous make work faux academic discipline like oppression studies or victimhood studies).
Apparently, the reason that people act like animals in pursuit of shoes is because their "ids" are out of control and they feel very bad about not getting stuff they want right now, and they have terrible anxiety issues!
Who are you going to believe? The therapist, or your own lying eyes?
We see in the video mobs of mostly black Americans fighting to get into a mall to buy running shoes.
This is absolutely pathetic.
I wonder how many of them would lineup that way for non-material things? Do they line up to get into Church? Into school? For their children to get into good schools?
Is there anything but running shoes that brings out the animal-like behaviour? Would we see the same ferociousness to fight for country? For their children?
I can't say that I am convinced.
Mark Steyn seems to be trying to hold in the giggles when "Dr." ShrinkyDink talks about anxiety.
And is it just me or are her teeth, fake nails and the crazy red shiny lipstick totally distracting in a bad, and not hot or stylish way?
She's almost a parody of a neurotic New York (Jewish?) "therapist", the neurotic counselor to the neurotic masses (for a fee).
The decline of a society can be defined both by what it is willing to concede and by what it is willing to fight for.
When it's running shoes, we're in deep, deep shit.
Inner city black "culture" kind of reminds me of the Palestinian "culture"-pretty much irredeemable. It can only be destroyed and rebuilt, or can be saved through Christianity or Judaism (less likely of course).
