Promising: Vatican to Public Selection of Secret Documents

This is good news.

A confidence building measure, especially at a time when Pius is being considered once again for sainthood.

This is one of the issues that Jews and Catholics will likely never, ever come to terms with-but transparency in the conversation would be a very good thing.

Pope Visits Rome Synagogue

I've read a lot about this period in history, and although Jews and Catholics have made great progress in their friendship with one another, in my opinion-the subject of Pius and his role in saving, or not saving Jews is just one of the subject that we will never agree upon.

In fact, I would put it pretty much second to the discussion about whether or not the Messiah is yet to come, or is coming back a second time.

I believe that unfettered access, for a limited number of Holocaust researchers, to the Vatican archives, would be the only way to break the impasse.

Swiss Bankers are Bastards

Swiss banks and Switzerland got rich on the backs of European Jews, so I'm happy to see that they are at least paying out a few bucks for bilking America. I really hope they all rot in hell.

Strangest Jewish Partnership Ever?

Pass the bong and justice for Holocaust survivors, dude. No - I'm not making this up. The Israeli Green party - best known for its affection for Mary Jane, is joining forces with Holocaust survivors to try and push survivor's medical expenses and impoverished financial situations to the forefront in Israel. It may seem like an unusual collaboration, but it may take the youngest Israelis to try and ensure that Israel's Holocaust survivors live their final days in dignity.
