For those of you who haven't read anything by Wisse, I highly recommend her recent book "Jews and Power".

I went to a recent lecture of hers and she is an excellent speaker. I'm looking forward to her next book.

I'm actually shocked that Harvard University keeps her on faculty. She must be their token non-lefty Jewish professor.
