Absolute Outrage of the Day
The American Academy of Pediatrics has quietly acquiesced to the exquisite cultural sensitivities of the local barbarians of no particularly mentioned religion who have a penchant for slicing off the clitorises of their female children.
They have apparently reached a "compromise" position whereby they feel that a "quick nick" of the clitoris of young, female children is just perfectly fine and dandy.

I do wish people would stop calling it the sanitized version 'female circumcision'. We girls do not have the appropriate plumbing for circumcision. That is for boys.
That term is just waaaaay too gentrified for the horror that FGM is.
It's Female Genital Mutilation.Language is important.
