Empty Suit President Finally Publishing More Op Eds
I think Barack Obama has published more articles with a Presidential byline than he did as a SERIOUS ACADEMIC SCHOLAR (not). He has no publishing history in academic journals, no substantive articles from his time as the editor of the Harvard law school journal. Other than the fanastically vain publication of not one, but two autobiographies and a forthcoming children's version of one of said autobiographies, it seems like his publishing career is just starting to take off now.
Perhaps some American readers can help me out? Is it standard operating procedure for a sitting President to be churning out Op-Ed pieces in the mainstream media? I know Ronald Reagan had his weekly radio addresses as governor of California, but is there a precedent for sitting Presidents to have fluff pieces in the mainstream media? Does this seem beneath the office of the POTUS to you?

If I'm not mistaken, it's happened a few times, but never to this extent. But then again, we've never had a president this unqualified (his thin resume would disqualify him from a management position at your local Taco Bell).
Barack Obama is not a President, he's a brand name. And just like laundry detergent, automobiles and beer, the Brand Name must be continually marketed to the point where it invades every last nook and cranny of American life.
That's what we Americans do: we market bullshit 24/7/365 within an inch of it's life.
Anyways, he has to be seen everywhere, doing something, so he jets off to what are really campaign rallies in economically-depressed towns, shows up on Leno, has OpEd pieces published. He has to continually campaign because he's never been prepared to govern.
It almost makes you wish Her Heinous (Hillary) was elected instead..and I'm a republican.
