The Greatest Love of All?

We know that President Obama has a bit of a narcisistic streak, and that he's a bit of a melagomaniac with a messianic complex and a diverse cult following.

But that's all just hatemongering opinion, right?

Well, G-d bless the peacemakers, the cheesemakers and the anal rightwing blogging world that has come up with the hard numbers.

In 41 speeches, ME MYSELF and I almost 1200 times!

Obama's New, Veiled Egyptian Advisor "Draws Cautious Optimism"

Cautious optimism? That's a really neat way of putting it. As far as I am concerned, if you are fully veiled, or fully keffiyeh-faced, you are wearing an outward modern symbol equivalent to the swastika. It means to me that you have submitted fully and take the kill the infidels stuff pretty seriously. The LA Times is probably giddy and orgasmic, but people with any brains in their heads would view this appointment as more (or should I say "Mo") Kick Me signs on the back of America. Hardy har har. Obama and "The Beast" (Not Michelle) Going to UK, Bringing Cheeze Whiz and SPAM As Gifts

More than 500 officials and staff will accompany the president on his tour this week - along with a mass of high-tech security equipment, including the $300,000 presidential limousine, known as The Beast. Fitted with night-vision camera, reinforced steel plating, tear- gas cannon and oxygen tanks, the vehicle is the ultimate in heavy armoured transport. In addition, a team from the White House kitchen will travel with the president to prepare his food. As one official put it: "When the president travels, the White House travels with him, right down to the car he drives, the water he drinks, the gasoline he uses, the food he eats. America is still the sole superpower and the president must have the ability to handle any crisis, anywhere, any time."

This is like something out of the Smoking Gun web site. Does Obama have to have the blue M&Ms removed? Does the White House manicurist come on the trip also?

Good News: Obama White House Begins Efforts to Recruit More Muslims to Administration.

Am I the only one who feels B. Hussein Obama is already quite friendly to Muslim nations and people? So, why the new, shiny outreach effort? "The effort, driven by community leaders and others, including Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn) was bumped up two weeks ahead of schedule because White House officials heard about the venture, said J. Saleh Williams, program coordinator for the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association who sifted through more than 300 names. "It was mostly under the radar," said Williams. "We thought it would put (the president) in a precarious position. We didn't know how closely he wanted to appear to be working with the Muslim American community."

The Obamessiah's Teleprompter is Not Funny, Damnit.

Washington Post moonbat Michael Gerson thinks there is NOTHING FUNNY and NOTHING CRUTCHY about TOTUS. In fact-you know whose fault it is that he is dependent on a telemprompter? Republicans! Yes!
"If anyone is to blame for this technological dependence, it is probably Fred Barton, an actor from the 1950s. As author Laurie Brown tells the story, Barton was having trouble memorizing the vast number of lines required for live television. So he conceived of a scrolling screen of typed text -- an idea he shared with Irving Berlin Kahn (the composer's nephew) and Hub Schlafly at 20th Century Fox. Soon the device was used by Milton Berle and actors in various soap operas. In 1952, Schlafly got a call from a man identified simply as the "Chief" who wanted a meeting at the Waldorf-Astoria. It turned out to be former President Herbert Hoover, who ended up using a teleprompter for his remarks at that year's Republican convention." Read more of his mind-bending gobbledeegook: "But it is a mistake to argue that the uncrafted is somehow more authentic. Those writers and commentators who prefer the unscripted, who use "rhetoric" as an epithet, who see the teleprompter as a linguistic push-up bra, [Ed. note: thanks for that AWESOME phrase, consider that "liberated"] do not understand the nature of presidential leadership or the importance of writing to the process of thought. Governing is a craft, not merely a talent. It involves the careful sorting of ideas and priorities. And the discipline of writing -- expressing ideas clearly and putting them in proper order -- is essential to governing. For this reason, the greatest leaders have taken great pains with rhetoric. Lincoln continually edited and revised his speeches. Churchill practiced to the point of memorization. Such leaders would not haven been improved by being "unplugged." When it comes to rhetoric, winging it is often shoddy and self-indulgent -- practiced by politicians who hear Mozart in their own voices while others perceive random cymbals and kazoos. Leaders who prefer to speak from the top of their heads are not more authentic, they are often more shallow -- not more "real," but more undisciplined."

So crazy...It's not like Obama even writes his own shallow stuff. He has shallow writers on the payroll.

Civilization Ends: Associated Press Chides The Obamessiah?

Uhhhh, uhmmm, I dunno.
"One of the few times he summoned raw emotion came after a reporter demanded to know why it took him so long to express outrage over the AIG executive bonuses. "It took a couple of days because I like to know what I'm talking about before I speak." Even better, he likes to have it up on the teleprompter. "

Americans: Beware the Encroaching D.C Leviathan

This is an excellent warning about Obama's socialist tendencies and the direction he is taking the United States of America. "Citing the AIG precedent, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs defended this radical move, saying on CNN, "We need resolution authority to go in and be able to change contracts, be able to change the business model, unwind what doesn't work." Breathtaking. Coupled with the vast expansion of government spending over the next 10 years, this is socialism, pure and simple. Yes, we know it's unfashionable to use the "S" word. But we're willing to be unhip in the service of the truth. It's a frightening thing to see a once mighty, and free, capitalist economy placed under the heel of an incompetent government. But that's precisely what's happening now. Executive pay, the focus of much public fury right now, is only the start. Your pay will be next, rest assured. So hold on to your wallets, sure, but also hold on even tighter to something even more precious that now seems at risk: your freedom."

Empty Suit President Finally Publishing More Op Eds

I think Barack Obama has published more articles with a Presidential byline than he did as a SERIOUS ACADEMIC SCHOLAR (not). He has no publishing history in academic journals, no substantive articles from his time as the editor of the Harvard law school journal. Other than the fanastically vain publication of not one, but two autobiographies and a forthcoming children's version of one of said autobiographies, it seems like his publishing career is just starting to take off now. Perhaps some American readers can help me out? Is it standard operating procedure for a sitting President to be churning out Op-Ed pieces in the mainstream media? I know Ronald Reagan had his weekly radio addresses as governor of California, but is there a precedent for sitting Presidents to have fluff pieces in the mainstream media? Does this seem beneath the office of the POTUS to you?

Will Obama Return $500,000 Publishing Bonus?

This is rich. As he empathized with recession-weary Americans, President Obama arranged in the days just before he took office to secure a $500,000 advance for a children's book project, a disclosure report shows...The project calls for an abridged version of his book "Dreams From My Father" for middle-school-aged children, according to the disclosure.

Teleprompter One.

Much has already been said of The One's affection for, and addiction to his teleprompter. The latest gaffetastic teleprompter event was Obama thanking himself for coming to a party. No doubt, the teleprompter is a critical member of Team Obama. Does Obama use it for pillow-talk discussions with Michelle? Does it have a secret service code name? One of the best suggestions I've heard so far is "Security Blanket One". My guess: Crutch One. Link

Obama's Smirky Staff Sinking Him

Nice piece by Camille Paglia. I don't think that it's just his staff that is sinking him because he's a smirky turd himself. But all I have to say after reading this is keep it up, Obama staff. Nice work!

Obama Considering Reaching Out to "Moderate" Taliban.

So says the New York Slimes. What could go wrong? It probably would have been a great idea to reach out to the 'moderate' Nazis during WWII, and certainly, reaching out to the 'moderate' communists during the coldwar was really, really effective! America-you're screwed.

American Publishers Scramble to Indoctrinate Children About The One

This is not suprising, but sickening. "When the country elects a new president, publishers characteristically issue a biography or two geared toward young readers. But in the case of Obama, publishers are tapping into unusual levels of excitement and curiosity. Justin Chanda, vice president of Simon & Schuster's Books for Young Readers imprint, told the Washington Times he and his team felt rumbles of a larger presence the day after Obama's triumph in the January 2008 Iowa caucuses. They wanted a book - double-quick. In industry parlance, they call it a "crash." My only questions: is a "rumble of a larger presence" better than a leg tingle and does it last longer?
