Actually, I think it's because no one noticed that they were "special" when they were children. Mommy always said they were "special", so why didn;t anyone else see it?
Or maybe their mothers stopped breast feeding to soon, or maybe some were breast fed into puberty.
Or, perhaps, there's some that didn't get that pony or puppy they wanted for their 7th birthday, and they've nursed that grievance forever, taking up leftist politics as a means of getting even with their parents, and then the world.
It could possibly be poor potty training. Maybe they were all humiliated sexually at some point, you know, a girlfriend sniggering at a short one, or a boyfriend suggesting a need for better hygiene Down Under. It's difficult to recover from blows like that; the ones that don't go on killing sprees int he Post Office, or commit suicide, usually turn to Marxism and Che Guevara...never fails.
Who knows, but the idea that "nuance" is some indicator of either intelligence or sophistication is a laugher when you consider that everywhere extreme leftist politics has held sway, disaster has usually followed.
