It has been overpowered by keffiyeh wearing students and leftist rabble. The entire Ottawa police force was unable to overcome some loud, obnoxious protesters who, in hearing that an American, right wing, blond Christian was going to (gasp) speak on campus-wet their pants and started destroying things around the university.
I hope the University of Ottawa is really happy now that they have their name on the map, as a campus where free speech (for the conservative right of course) has been completely extinguished. It now joins the illustrious list of Canadian Intifadah Campuses-just like Concordia when Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Montreal.
It is so pathetic, it's hard to put into words.
The protesters are such pussies, that they are scared of letting a woman talk on campus. How progressive. I guess they figure that a woman's words-or their hormones-or maybe their blond highlights will overpower the brains of everyone in the room or something, and make us all think bad thoughts-or worse-make everyone turn into right-wing conservatives?
The Ottawa police and the campus police should be ashamed of themselves, along with the administration of the university.
They are feeding the beast. The protesters are emboldened-the stakes will get higher and higher.
Is there not a single male in Ottawa that has not been castrated?
Not a single bunch of policemen or women who could have let one, single speaker say her piece? Not a single university professor on the entire campus who might have said the magic words "I disagree with every word you say, but I will defend-to the death-your right to say it"?
This episode is a terrible blight on Canada and a supreme victory for the forces of censorship and totalitarian impulses.
And liberals cheering this one should not be so smug-they'll come for you, too.
