The Plan
Handing out condoms on the Titanic!
Ack!
This is depressing.
I'm laughing, I'm crying about the whole thing.
This is standard Steyn, yes-but so accurate it hurts.
I don't have any solutions. I try to do my demographic part, and I try to put my money where my mouth is-live Jewishly, etc...
The only other things that help fight back are the every day joys of children, family and life.
So, I'll share with you two small stories-two pleasures of my life.
First-the first time the family went sledding together. It was yesterday! For many years, the special needs kid was sick all the time, and took no pleasure in being out in the winter.
The other kids therefore weren't as exposed to winter sports. We've been underachievers in the Canadian winter sports department.
Yet, there we were, for a brief few minutes-the whole family, in the snow, bundled up walking up a little hill, going down. It was delicious.
Moment number two. This is a "game" my youngest invented. He calls it "War".
The "war" is when I pull the plug out of his bath, and he tries to keep the water in, using his hands, elbows, tush, whatever. I call him a pipsqueak and he screams and doubles his efforts to keep the water in. His special needs brother laughs and laughs-water flies everywhere. This continues for a few more minutes and then I take them out and they get into fresh, clean PJs and they smell so good-I love the smells of all the shampoos and bubble baths and lotions and potions and I know we're getting close to bedtime when I can put my feet up.
I think that's why I hate presents. I only love, truly love the things that can't be bought.
Thank You Spengler for Writing This!!
Jews should be FREAKING OUT about this Catholic birth control thing.
The beast has a voracious appetite and will not be appeased by a "compromise" on birth control.
This is an opportunity for religious people to band together and fight back.
I have some fight in me-maybe I oughta start the fight?
So few people seem to be willing to see what is at stake.
As per Spengler:
"Today it is contraception and the morning-after pill. Tomorrow it will be kosher slaughter, or matrilineal descent, or circumcision, or other matters of existential importance to Jewish observance. If the Obama administration gets away with forcing Catholic institutions to step across lines of life and death in the name of “health,” the federal government will have a precedent to legislate Judaism out of existence–as several other countries have already tried to do."
I gotta do something about it.
As Spengler is warning us: Don’t be naive. We’re next.
What If I'd Rather Not Pay?
I find the use of the term "undeserving" almost as creepy as the socialized medical system forcing the taxpayer to pay for the care of someone who so clearly doesn't care for their own well-being.
However, why should anyone care for the medical care of anyone but themselves or their families?
I am in favour of some kind of "system" whereby the members of society who cannot care for themselves have some kind of protection. I believe that the the disabled and the elderly, or the care of newborn babies who are abandoned for example-there should be some kind of societal 'net' to pay for the care of these things. I don't mind my taxes going to that.
But I don't want anyone-bureaucrat or otherwise deciding that I, or a loved one is 'undeserving' of medical treatment.
I would like to own my body entirely-but I can't.
I would like to own the care of my children's health, and I can't. It's pathetic.
Canadians are sheeple-and nobody even in the currently bankrupt province of Ontario is asking these questions: what if I don't want to pay any more, and why should I?
Imagine the economic recovery Ontario could have if we were to finally slay the sacred cow of socialized medicine, and almost half of our GDP was not going to nationalized, pitiful medical care.

Hardest PR Job EVAH, BUT EVAH EVAH?
A better ad might read: "Wanted. Fart Catcher/Fluffer who can try to justify massive waste of private-public funding for grotesque Human Rights Monstrosity-Mausoleum that is useless and macabre and has various minority groups in Canada fighting over who had "better", more thorough genocides."
Nanny Bastards
Must read on the insanity of state incursion into child-rearing.
"In absolute terms, I'm not worried about being persecuted by child welfare services. But power-mad bureaucrats probably outnumber kidnappers and serial killers at least a thousand to one."
Facing Down the Thugs: Awesome!
"Conservatives need to reclaim some of the discourse by standing up to these crude thugs. If it’s not venturing too far into Salon.com’s favored linguistic territory to say so, conservatism needs to grow a pair."
Derb on our highly civilized, sophisticated moral superiors on the left.
For example, he shows:
"And then: “detestable sacks of ****”? Is this kind of language OK with Salon.com editors? Is that how their writers routinely refer to people with whom they disagree?[me-yes, why yes it is...]
"How does this square with the left’s periodic calls for civility in public discourse?
[me-do as I say, not as I do-plus they are outrageously outraged about everything]
Is George Clooney Der Ghey?
Another Hollywood "confirmed bachelor"?

What an Arrogant Beeeeyotch
Indeed-A Good Question.
I personally think that this is a long-established cultural direction that started with Women's "lib" and the birth control pill, and all other "progressive" ideas about human sexuality ie: sex without love, and sex without consequence.
The sexual "education" curricula in most schools are just grooming children for sexual experience when they are increasingly younger, and further desensitizing children about sex despite their natural inclination to modesty and cautious, conservative, minimal expressions of their sexuality.
The pill and the feminist movement have screwed up generations of women. There are more unhappy women-and therefore men-than ever before.
I see it all around me.
Your Mohammad of the Day
Gabrielle won, bless her soul.
A victory indeed, for human rights-HERS.

Mormons Baptizing Jews Posthumously ZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I gotta say that I think Mormons baptizing dead Jews have far too much time on their hands and are probably a little weird, but you know what? I am comfortable letting G-d make the decision about whether that is offensive or appropriate.
Furthermore, I would rather (yes RATHER) have Mormons going wild with the baptisms-that theologically mean ZERO to Jews-living or dead, than seeing other living groups of Jew-hating douchebags build memorials to dead Jews, weeping crocodile tears at Holocaust Memorial Day or laying more meaningless wreaths at Yad Vashem.
Laying wreaths is a VERY VERY GOYISCHE custom.
So, why is it OK to lay (goyische x eleventy million) wreaths at Yad Vashem, in Israel but baptisms that mean bupkes are not?
You cannot have your goyische ritual cake and eat it, too!
Who cares what the Mormons do with their prayers?
And, yes-that applies equally to Elie Wiesel and any other human person who is a Jewish survivor or not.
I would also add that any Jew that thinks that this silly exercise interferes with his or her relationship with G-d has some serious theological soul searching to do, and perhaps should look internally at his or her own prayers and perhaps redirect some energy toward strengthening their own personal relationship with the G-d of Israel.
Any Jew who thinks that some random Mormon mumbling is going to do anything to them physically, or to their spiritual well-being is nuts and superstitious beyond belief.
And, as usual, I don't care if that makes me unpopular.
Hubba Hubba!
Hahahahaha. Watch both videos.

"The Best Part of My Day"
A lovely, lovely thing to do.
The Simple Question
February 14, 2012
Oh Yeah, Canada.
The equality of mentally handicapped persons is recognized by the Supreme Court of Canada.
Let this serve as a warning to those predators who prey on the disabled-your victims will not be silenced.
